Allergies - The New Norm
According to a scientific study done in 2008, nearly 42 percent of Americans reported having allergies. We know this is much more now!
The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America defines allergies as, “when your immune system reacts to a foreign substance, called an allergen. It could be something you eat, inhale into your lungs, inject into your body, or touch.”
Common allergens are tree pollen, grasses, weeds, mold, dogs, cats, and other animals. But then there are also food allergies like dairy, milk, eggs, soy, and peanuts. You can also have an allergy to latex, drugs or even insect stings! This is very unfortunate, and trust me, I know about allergies and asthma, because I had them for over 30 years!
Why are we allergic to nature? Why are we allergic to foods that should be good for us? These are the questions that came to mind after 39 years of being sick. Not only was I having severe allergy and asthma attacks during spring and fall- when normal allergens are in the air, but also during the dead of winter. That’s when I knew something was not right, and by the way, medications were not even helping me anymore.
I didn’t find out the answers to these questions for quite some time; but I did finally figure it out and get rid of lifelong allergies and asthma. I can now share this with my clients and help them improve their allergy symptoms, or resolve them entirely.
Allergies are a combination of many things that have gone wrong: digestion, immune system, poor nutrition, environmental toxins and more. At Healthy Life Transformations, I have over 11 years’ experience and can provide you with the tools you need to allow your body to detox; but also provide it with specific nutrition that is essential in order for the body to work optimally to resolve symptoms, gain more energy and potentially be free of medications!
